I love fresh salsa. This fresh salsa recipe uses a lot of ripe tomatoes and keeps well for several days in the refrigerator. Fresh tomato salsa is excellent with just chips and salsa for an appetizer or a perfect compliment to any mexican dish. I also didn t have the jimaca but this recipe was delicious without it. This is a very simple easy go to fresh salsa recipe that is sure to taste good if you use fresh ingredients. I was looking for a recipe for fresh salsa and this one was as close to fresh as i could get. I think this recipe is an excellent start. Adjust to personal taste with salt pepper and ground cumin.
Mine tasted great with almost all veggies from the garden. Recipes you ll bake and share again and again. Okay that s just my opinion but in the past i thought i could go the route of using all canned tomatoes but using fresh tomatoes makes a world of difference. I left it chunky. I eyeballed everything except the tomatoes because i used cherry tomatoes and it was a little hard to tell how much i had.

I upped the salt to 1 2 tsp. This turned out really well. Also used it as a template for my own by changing things to suit my specific tastes and it has opened the new world of homemade salsa. The best salsa is made with fresh tomatoes. Myra innes auburn kansas.
I fiddled with it a bit because i prefer green spring onions rather than raw yellow red onions. And i used fresh jalapenos in place of the chilies. I don t like cilantro i did still include a little and even though i warmed and rolled my limes and used a citrus juicer they had very little juice. The most delicious homemade fresh salsa with a touch of restaurant style salsa flavor no additives no cans all natural out of the garden. Add 1 additional serrano pepper to make hot salsa and 2 serrano peppers for fire salsa.
