A whole rack won t fit in your instant pot frozen solid. For example cut racks of ribs into 3 piece chunks. To cook frozen baby back ribs in your instant pot use a pressure cook time of 35 minutes plus a 15 minute natural pressure release. Set timer for 45 minutes. The cooking time won t start until the pot comes to pressure.
Season the ribs all over with a dry spice rub. Sprinkle seasoning liberally over the frozen ribs and set on top of the trivet. Mix together the cornstarch and water. They ll need about 5 7 minutes extra if they re cooked from frozen. It was tricky to pull out when it was finished without it falling apart tender but two sets of thongs.

Step 2 select high pressure according to manufacturer s instructions. I had to skip the cayenne because of kids but otherwise wouldn t change a thing. Be mindful of the size and shape of your food when you freeze it. The rack of ribs will have to already be cut in half so that it will fit in the instant pot since you won t be able to curve a frozen rack of ribs to make it fit. Close lid then turn venting knob to sealing position. I had a single 3lb rack of baby back ribs and it fit inside perfectly without having to cut it. Be mindful of the size and shape of your food when you freeze it.
